2013 Columbia Softball
Bio:
2013 Columbia High softball which is most known for being the most recent program school wide to win a state championship, it was a program that had been building to this triumph and the moment in the sun. They started 6-0 before losing their first game to PK Yonge who would sweep them during the season, Columbia however would sweep rivals Gainesville and Suwannee while allowing a total of 2 runs in those 4 contests while scoring 39 runs and 3 mercy rules. They would beat Atlantic coast during the season and again in the district Championship and also won a tournament towards the end of the season beating Ponte Vedra. On their way to making the final 4 they defeated in the regional semifinals Oakleaf and then Mosely in the regional finals to make the trip to the state championship.
Columbia would defeat 2 of the best softball programs this decade to win their state championship, first they would defeat Lakewood Ranch 7-1 in the Semifinals and then Pembroke Pines Charter 6-2 in the state championship game to claim softball first state championship and to date the most recent state championship in Columbia High. This team set out to bring home the programs first championship and they completed the mission and did something very few teams at Columbia can say they did, they sent several seniors out on top and won their final career contest.

2014 Columbia Softball
Bio:

The 2014 Columbia softball team may very well be one of the best in program history and they certainly played like it and the record would justify it, Columbia dominated the season with wins over Baker County, sweeping rival Gainesville 8-0 and 5-0, defeated Oakleaf 3 times, and even winning the Kissimmee Klassic over eventual 5A State champion St Thomas Aquinas. Columbia lone loss of the regular season would come on March 21st against Santa Fe 2-0 but Columbia still piled up the win total heading into the playoffs and looked primed to win another state championship, first they defeated Escambia 10-0, then Oakleaf 3-2 for the 4th time in the season after they beat Oakleaf in the district Championship and twice during the regular season.
However the season would come to a end one game from returning to Vero Beach to defend their state championship where they lost to Creekside 3-0, this team had high expectations coming off a state championship and actually got more total wins than the state championship team the year before but would fall 3 wins short of repeating as state champions.

2017 Columbia Softball
Bio:
Columbia softball went into the 2017 season seeking their first district championship since 2014 while sharing the district with defending state champions Gainesville, the seniors of this team were freshman the last year that Columbia had won a district championship and were determined to take the district back from rival Gainesville but the season didn't get off to a good start as they opened the month of February with a 1-3 record with losses to consistent playoff team West Nassau, defending champions Gainesville and a upset loss at home to Middleburg but things would change in March as Columbia would win 8 straight in the month including 2-0 over Aucilla Christian, 7-6 at Gainesville, 5-4 over undefeated Trenton and 13-0 over Middleburg. In the final game of the month Aucilla ended the winning streak but Columbia had established themselves as a threat heading into April and despite a rough stretch in the Kissimmee Klassic they would defeat West Nassau in the regular season finale at home to get momentum back heading into the district tournament where they beat Middleburg and Gainesville to capture the district Championship. In the first round of the playoffs they faced Creekside who 3 years earlier had knocked Columbia out of the of the playoffs in the 3rd round to prevent them from having a opportunity to defend their state championship however this time around at home Columbia got redemption against Creekside 5-2 which set up game #4 against rival Gainesville for all the marbles. Columbia would fall behind 6-0 in the 2nd inning against the defending state champions but Columbia would fight back at home and bring themselves within 1 run heading into the 7th inning but would give up a run in the top of the 7th and would trail 7-5 heading into the bottom of the 7th, with 2 outs Junior Sk Lewis hit a 2 RBI triple to tie the game and then stole home on a wild pitch for the walkoff run which led to Columbia knocking off the defending state champions at home and sent their rival Gainesville packing home. In the next game however Columbia faced Niceville and things turned bad in the game as Columbia fell behind and couldn't repeat the magic of the Gainesville game and fell to Niceville in what is currently the most recent home playoff game for the softball program.
This team established that Columbia could still compete on a state level but Columbia is still looking for a win in the playoffs as they haven't done since the Gainesville win in round 2 which will go down as one of the best games in the rivalry history

2018 Columbia Softball
Bio:
The 2018 Columbia High softball team came into the season with high expectations after returning over 70% of the starting lineup and for the early parts of the season they seemed to answer it by going 3-1 in both early season tournaments and getting wins over West Nassau and Middleburg then Columbia lost the first home game of the season to Gainesville but it would be their last home loss of the season as they would then proceed to win 12 straight games which was the most since 2014 including wins at West Nassau, a sweep over 1a power Trenton, 2a power Aucilla Christian and a good Baker County team however Columbia would fall on the road to Gainesville in the district championship and be sent to face Bartram Trail in the opening round of the playoffs, Columbia struggled to stop the high powered Bartram Trail offensive output and as a result they fell in the opening round of the playoffs to Bartram Trail.
Despite not having lost since March 8th when heading into the district championship against Gainesville, Columbia lost 2 games in a row to be a one and done in the playoffs in a season that had expectations of making it to Vero Beach.

2020 Columbia Softball
Bio:

The Start of a future run of dominance can't always be brought in the most ideal circumstances but the cream always rises to the top and the best programs learn from their hardships to become the best program they can be and that is what will become the legacy as time goes on from this group, they weren't given much expectations heading into the season but they exceeded it every step of the way and had Columbia softball rolling 12 games in with a 9-3 record before the season was put to a halt but I have no doubts if a full season had been played this team would have been district and regional champions and would have been playing for a state championship in Clermont, but sometimes the richest things and best things aren't supposed to come easy and this program will learn and adapt from what was taken from them and will rise to the top in the future because that is what defines this program and this community at Columbia High
